Plastic Surgery Arts of New Jersey CoolSculpting®
CoolSculpting® is an FDA-cleared procedure that reduces fat by targeting, freezing and eliminating fat cells through Cryolipolysis. A non-surgical alternative to liposuction, CoolSculpting® helps patients improve stubborn fat areas that are resistant to diet and exercise – all without the use knives, needles, suction hoses, anesthesia or supplements. One in-office procedure can reduce fat by approximately 20 to 25 percent in the treated region.
During the CoolSculpting® procedure, a small applicator is placed on the target region where patients may feel slight pressure and a ‘tightening’ sensation. CoolSculpting® is a quick procedure that lasts approximately 1 to 3 hours, after which patients can typically return to their normal activities. Over the next few months the frozen fat cells are slowly digested and removed from the body naturally. Results are noticeable as soon as three weeks after treatment with the full effects realized in 2 to 4 months.
CoolSculpting® treatment is ideal for patients that are in their target weight range but need help getting rid of ‘muffin tops,’ ‘love handles,’ or other ‘problem areas’ despite consistent diet and exercise. The improvements in body shape are long-lasting and stable, as long a patient’s weight is maintained with a regular diet and exercise program.
CoolSculpting® was developed by Harvard Scientists to break down fat cells without damaging your skin.
