Plastic Surgery Arts of New Jersey Kybella™
Kybella™ is an FDA-cleared injection that improves the appearance of a “double chin.” As a non-surgical alternative to fat removal, Kybella™ helps in the reduction of this very common condition among adults. Kybella™ allows physicians to remove unwanted fat from the neck and chin areas without use of knives, suction hoses, anesthesia or supplements. Patients often experience visible results from Kybella™ injections in just two to four treatments.
Kybella™ is administered via injection into the fat under the patient’s chin. Many patients see results from Kybella™ injections in two to four treatments, though up to six treatments may be used depending on the goals of the patient and physician. 79% of Kybella™ patients reported high satisfaction with the appearance of their face and chin during clinical trials.
Kybella™ is an ideal course of treatment for patients who have struggled with the appearance of their chin and neck areas, even with proper diet and exercise. Additional submental fat, or a “double chin,” can make patients feel that they appear older or heavier than they actually are. Submental fullness can be attributed to aging and genetics, and it is very common among both genders.
Kybella™ was developed in order to address patient concerns about submental fat effectively without use of surgical techniques. At Plastic Surgery Arts of New Jersey, we are always invested in exploring the latest medical technologies and advancements in order to ease the patient experience. We invite you to learn more about Kybella™ and other facial rejuvenation procedures offered at our New Brunswick or Princeton, New Jersey offices.
